The Ryūsei Festival is held annually on the second Sunday in October around Kuwenoki Shrine in Yoshida, Chichibu City. At this festival, handmade rockets are launched, and spectators are captivated by their spectacular power. Each group of craftsmen creates its own Ryūsei rockets, which soar to approximately 300 meters high—their ascent resembles a dragon rising to the heavens.

The rockets are meticulously crafted using skilled techniques, and on festival day they are launched one after another. Spectators eagerly anticipate each launch, and cheers erupt at the moment of ignition. Experience the excitement in person!
